Lone Fondness

Introduction

Lone Fondness is a strategic card game for three players, played with a standard 52-card deck. Build descending sequences across four columns and clear full King-to-Ace runs to score — the sharper your planning, the better.

How to play

Setup. Shuffle the deck and deal 28 cards into four columns of seven, turning the bottom card of each column face-up. Each player then draws 8 cards from the rest of the deck, and play proceeds in turn order.

On your turn, take one action: place a card from your hand at the bottom of any column, or move a run of cards from the bottom of one column to the bottom of another. A moved run must be in descending order, and its top card must be lower than the bottom card of the destination column.

Scoring & end. After any move, flip a column’s bottom card face-up if it isn’t already. When a full King-to-Ace run forms in a column, remove it from play — and if the whole run is a single suit, you score a point. The game ends when all cards are cleared or the countdown timer runs out.

Private Server

Lone Fondness uses our public servers by default to sync game state between players. You can also run your own private server for better connectivity, guaranteed availability during peak hours, and full control — the binary is identical to our public version, collects no analytics, and stores no player data.

Run it. Download the binary for your platform, extract, and run — no configuration needed:

tar xzf lfserver-1.0-linux-<arch>.tar.gz
./lfserver

Supported architectures: Linux x86_64 (amd64) and Linux ARM64.

Connect. On the game’s main scene, click the pot to open the server list, enter your server’s IP or domain, and select it as your active server before creating or joining a game. Every player in the same game must use the same private server, or the game won’t start.

Privacy

Lone Fondness collects no personal data, shows no ads, and needs no account — all gameplay runs on a public or self-hosted server of your choice, with no tracking or analytics. Read our Privacy Policy.
